French Speaking

It is not necessary for your child(ren) to be able to speak or understand French when enrolling at La Maternelle. Our student body includes children from many families that do not speak French at home. We have found that these children become naturally bilingual at a very early age, thanks to our policy of total immersion in a French language and educational environment.

Enrollment Procedures

We are pleased to accept all students as we do not perform any placement testing*. Our school is "First come, First served", and to start the registration process, all that is needed is the 1st page of the Registration form and $250 (registration fee) so that we can enter your child into our system and our director can ensure the classrooms are properly organized.

Our regular academic school year begins in late August and ends in late May of the following calendar year. However, we accept children from 18 months to Kindergarten (5 to 6 years old), throughout the year. Our summer camp is open early June to the end of the second week of August.

Parents are encouraged to tour La Maternelle's campus and meet with our Director to discuss educational programs, student needs, policies, space availability and any questions you may have.

*If your child has special needs please meet with our Director to determine if we will be able to meet those needs.

Billing and Fees

For "La Creche" and PreK-2, we offer programs of 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday), 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), or 5 days per week. For PreK-3 to Kindergarten, we only offer a 5 day per week program. This is to ensure that all the students move through the curriculum at the same pace.

Monthly tuition and program fees will depend on the schedule and services you choose. Invoices are sent each month at least two weeks before they are due. Invoices are due on the first school day of each month.

Waiting List

Due to demand, our classrooms can fill up early. If you are interested in having your child attend La Maternelle French Academy, but there are no open seats in the appropriate grade or section, you may be added to our waiting list by paying a non-refundable deposit of $250.00. Once space becomes available this deposit will be credited towards your registration fee.

Lunch Program

La Maternelle French Academy does not have an on-site kitchen. We have, however, contracted with a reputable local caterer, specializing in school lunches, to have wholesome, fresh lunches delivered to our facility daily. These meals are prepared each morning before being delivered hot to us. We bill for lunches on your monthly invoice and you can choose to participate either 5, 3, or 2 days per week. Even if you choose to not participate in our meal program we have the flexiblity to order an extra meal in the morning should you run out of time to pack a lunch on any given day.
