Founded in 2008, La Maternelle is a premier preschool located in Houston, Texas, offering a unique, culturally rich educational environment inspired by the highly esteemed French preschool system. We are proud to provide a French/English bilingual program starting as early as 6 weeks of age, creating a solid linguistic foundation in the critical early stages of child development.
French is at the heart of our daily life, and our curriculum draws inspiration from the French école maternelle program, adapted to our bilingual setting to foster cognitive and social development through play, exploration, and structured activities, starting at age 3.

Two languages, one natural path
6 weeks to 3 years
From infancy to PK3, children are surrounded by French throughout the day, naturally acquiring the language through daily interactions, activities, and learning.

From PK3
Starting in PK3, students receive 45 minutes to 1 hour of English instruction each day, depending on their class, ensuring a smooth and balanced bilingual development and preparing them for academic success in both languages.
