Founded in 2008, La Maternelle French Academy is a premier preschool located in Houston, Texas, offering a unique, culturally rich educational environment inspired by the highly esteemed French preschool system. We are proud to provide a full French Language Immersion program starting as early as 6 weeks of age, creating a solid linguistic foundation in the critical early stages of child development.
Our curriculum is structured to ensure that children are fully immersed in the French language and culture from the very beginning. We follow the official guidelines and programs developed by the French Ministry of Education, tailored to foster cognitive and social development through play, exploration, and structured activities, starting at age 3.

Our Mission
From infancy to Pre-K (ages 6 weeks to 4 years), children experience a complete French immersion environment, where they naturally acquire the French language through daily interactions, activities, and learning. As children reach Pre-K (around age 4), we begin gradually introducing English into their educational journey, ensuring a smooth and balanced bilingual development.
By Kindergarten, our students receive one hour of English instruction each day to solidify their bilingual proficiency, preparing them for academic success in both languages.
